Mercy

Is personified by anyone

kind to others

small or large, rich or poor,

‘vulnerable’ or not

It’s undeserved by definition

if ‘standards aren’t maintained’

When pain is great,

and stress at fever pitch,

it’s needed in great proportions

Kindness is a virtue that mercy practices

It gives a backbone to every successful life

And no one blooms without it
